Vijay heads the Quality Team and the Quality Initiatives at QuEST. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt in DMAIC & DFSS by General Electric and Certified Lead Assessor for ISO 9000-2000 Quality Management Systems. Before joining QuEST, Vijay has worked in senior management role at TVS Motor Company, GE Power Systems, Fomas India Limited and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited. Amongst his significant achievements are the implementation of Six Sigma Initiatives at GE Power Systems and TVS Motor which resulted in significant cost savings for both the companies. Vijay has been awarded with GE President of India's award for outstanding contributions in effecting significant improvements in the foundry process using Six Sigma Tools during Sept 2000 and Cotton Memorial Award for being an outstanding student at UT El Paso. Vijay has to his credit published numerous papers on Quality Systems in the US and India. Vijay is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and The University of Texas, El Paso, USA. |
