QuEST Manufacturing sets up a dedicated sheet metal fabrication facility for aerospace

On 18th April 2009, a dedicated precision machining facility for aerospace was inaugurated by Aravind Melligeri, Chairman & Co-founder - QuEST Global and Dr. Ajay Prabhu, COO - QuEST Global Engineering, in the company's 300 acre Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Belgaum, Karnataka, India. The facility spreads across 60,000 sq ft with a planned capacity of 50,000 hrs/year of precision machining in 2009.

This facility boasts of state-of-the-art Machining technology namely 3/4/5 axis Machining Centers and 2/3 axis CNC turning and milling and 3 Axis Vertical turret lathes.

It is planned to establish a dedicated sheet metal facility in the same area. It is in close proximity to machining and special processing and supports both engine and structural sheet metal forming. Aerospace Processing India Pvt. Ltd facility (API is an independent operating company established as a joint venture between Magellan Aerospace and QuEST Global) is approved by Boeing for aerospace treatments that are not readily available in India. The fully integrated, scalable facility for special processing of Aluminum, Steel and Titanium to meet the needs of Aero structure and Aero Engine parts is operational since Mar 2009. API is uniquely positioned to provide metal finishing treatment services for both the Indian export and domestic markets.
