Mark has a Bachelor of Science Degree specializing in Underwater Acoustics and a Masters in Business Administration. He served on the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County for 2 years and currently serves on the Drexel Steinbright Center Advisory Board with key executives in the Philadelphia region.
Mark began his 25 year career in the Aerospace business at Pratt and Whitney Large Military Engines in Florida where he designed multiple advanced nozzle systems and led the McDonnell Douglas AX team to design an advanced nozzle for their JSF effort. In 1993, he altered his engineering career path from mechanical design to Infrared Radiation Analysis, writing software prediction codes and performing studies for NASA. In 1996, Mark assumed control of the P&W Infrared Radiation group responsible for P&W IR Signature Prediction Codes and managed Special Technology Air Force programs for advanced thin film coatings currently being used on military platform. He simultaneously pursued an MBA and graduated in 2000 with Sigma Beta Delta honors.
In 2001, Mark left P&W and joined the Belcan Advanced Engineering and Technology Division as Belcan's Florida business manager during a period of explosive growth to 467 employees. He led the proposal and startup team for a new Sikorsky venture that led to the opening of Belcan Lexington in 2004 and was promoted to VP of Business Development and Operations for the newly formed Belcan Aerospace Division.
In 2007, he joined CDI Aerospace as VP of Business Development and organized the sales force while developing business with new customers such as Raytheon, Lawrence Livermore National Labs, and Boeing. He was responsible for conceptualizing and starting the CDI Design Center in Philadelphia and negotiating and securing a 3-year sole source contract with Boeing.
