Galaata 2011: A Day to remember

Galaata 2011- QuEST Family Day was celebrated with zest and vigor on 26th of November. This year Gallata was observed with the 'Jungle' theme. In sync with the theme, pre-Galaata activities were lined up over a period of one month. Few of these fun-filled activities were surprise games during office hours, bay decoration, and sapling selling among QuEST employees.

Over 3000 employees assembled on the D-day of Galaata with their families. Since it was family day, special attention was confided to the all family members by organizing fun- filled games for adults, children. Tattoo & caricature booths were special attaraction for children.

The celebration was formally announced by lighting up the lamp. Dr. Ajay A Prabhu, COO QuEST Global welcomed the gathering & he also thanked the families of Questians for their support. The evening was endured with mesmerizing songs and dance performances by talented Questians.

The platform of Gaalata was also used to give away the most coveted awards of the year. The winners of various awards are - Yeshraj Singh, winner of Employee of the year from band 3&4, Palaniappan R, winner of Employee of the year from band1&2 and Dinesh Kalirajan, winner of Employee of the year-Enabler. Team of the year award went to GE Water and Process Technologies team. Apart from these, new set of awards were introduced specially for Technology Excellence Group. Prasanna A from Design 3 CoE was crowned as the Engineer of Engineer's Day for his momentous contributions in all the contests during Engineer's Day. Raja Kannan was awarded as EPG Leader for H1 FY 2011.
